Today I celebrate another milestone in my writing career. I got published again. This time in an e-zine called Reflective Dog. A creative nonficton piece called, The Motorcade.

It’s about an historical event from the eyes of a fictional bystander. It tries to capture the excitement, emotion and shock of the event.

Check it out at this site,

Wow! I was in elementary school at the time. I think my most vivid memories were coming home from school and seeing my mother crying in front of the TV and later seeing coverage of Jack Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald on the TV.

It’s been 46 years already. Most of the people alive today don’t remember it because they weren’t born yet. I tried in the article I wrote to help them visualize the event from a fictional witness’s perspective.

Congratulations. Always nice to see your name in print isn’t it? Hard to forget that day. You must have been in elementary school. Pappy
