Waterfall in Alberta – Pic of Day

Photo of Ram River Falls. These are in the Canadian Rockies west of Red Deer Alberta. The Ram River eventually flows into the North Saskatchewan River near Rocky Mountain House.

They were discovered by the famous mapmaker and explorer David Thompson.

Beautiful waterfalls (another of my favorite things to seek out when we travel).

Me too I always look for them. Sometimes I come across them quite by accident which is always pleasing. I love standing where the mist from the falling water hits me.

That is a very beautiful capture, did you take it yourself?

No unfortunately not. It’s from Travel Alberta the tourism website of our province.

I have visited here though. It’s quite remote from main roads, but is accessible from a dirt road.
